Peoria Police said a juvenile was riding a scooter before being involved in a crash with a marked Peoria PD patrol vehicle. The child, who police confirmed is a student at Peoria High School, was hospitalized with “minor injuries.”

Officers have closed southbound 83rd Avenue between Cholla Street and Edwards Road for investigators to look at the scene. The road will be closed for several hours, police said.
