Several people at a west Phoenix apartment complex were woken up overnight as a large fire broke out.
Firefighters were called to the reported apartment fire near 32nd Avenue and Indian School Road around 3 a.m. When they arrived, heavy smoke and flames were coming from the third floor of the apartment building.
Arizona’s Family drone footage showed the roof had collapsed, along with other significant building damage.
Crews raised the fire to second-alarm and battled the flames for nearly an hour.
Phoenix Fire said the building was completely evacuated, and no injures were reported.
American Red Cross and the Community Assistance Program will help 15 people who are displaced from the 20 affected units.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
