A man and a juvenile were among several people shot during a fight after a house party in north Phoenix early Sunday morning.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, it began late Saturday night when officers responded to a house party near 25th Avenue and Paradise Lane, south of Bell Road, and told the crowd to disperse.

Police said there were no further issues at that time, and the crowd left.

Just before 5 a.m., first responders were called to a reported shooting at a nearby QuikTrip near 29th Avenue and Bell Road. Police said the crowd scattered, and a vehicle carrying five people sped away.

Officers stopped the vehicle, which was riddled with bullet holes, near 43rd Avenue and Bell Road and inside found a man and a juvenile girl who had been shot.

Both were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but police said they are expected to survive.

Police said three other adults suffered graze wounds and were not taken to the hospital.

Several people were detained, but investigators are still working to determine who fired the shots.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation. Police have closed off the parking lot while detectives process the scene.
