A driver died after crashing a car into another car and then hitting a tree in Avondale Friday afternoon.
It happened in a neighborhood southeast of Dysart and Thomas roads after 3 p.m.
It’s unclear what led up to the first crash on Sante Fe Trail near Windsor Road, but the other driver suffered minor injuries.
The first driver then slammed into a tree and died at the scene, police said.
No names have been released. No other information has been released.
