One person died and four others were hurt after a crash in the far East Valley Friday night.
Just before 11 p.m., first responders were called to the intersection of East Riggs and Ellsworth roads for a reported crash.
Information is limited at this time.
Police said one person died at the scene. Four people were taken to the hospital, including one with life-threatening injuries. The other three should survive.
Police said crews had to pull at least one victim from the wreckage, but it’s not clear how many people had to be rescued.
Riggs Road is closed between Pecan Entertainment and Ellsworth Road while police complete their investigation.
No other information was released.
