A man was arrested this week in connection with a deadly shooting last November in north Phoenix.

Detectives identified Norman Sanders, 43, as the suspect who allegedly shot and killed 45-year-old Kevin Mitchell on 27th Avenue, south of Dunlap Avenue, on Nov. 14, 2025.

Sanders faces several charges related to the homicide, including murder and weapons violations.

While searching for a suspect, Silent Witness released photos of two suspects: one man having braided black hair and wearing a black beanie, a black hoodie, blue jeans and a backpack, while the other had a camouflage hat on with a black shirt and a backpack. The first suspect is seen walking a bicycle outside, while the second suspect appears to be inside a convenience store.

Authorities now do not believe anyone besides Sanders was involved in the shooting.

This incident remains under investigation.
